I am running version 1.9.0.18 on 10.8 with no problems. I also ran this version on 10.7

Thoth's built-in decoder for file attachments handles the usual encoding methods, including yEnc. Images from binary posts can be viewed inline, in a dedicated image window, or in an image catalog window. Binary posting is supported, as are multiple personalities allowing different email addresses, signatures, etc. to be used in different newsgroups or situations.

"Thoth 1.8.x and earlier probably will not due to Apple's rumored removal of Rosetta support in 10.7." Unconfirmed at this point.
