There are actually three versions of StuffIt: StuffIt Expander (free), StuffIt Destinations (for drag-and-drop compression and expansion), and StuffIt Deluxe.

StuffIt Expander is always free and is available for both Mac and Windows. But StuffIt Deluxe is the fully loaded versions that does both compression and expansion and much more. It is also available for Mac (version 2011) and Windows (version 2010).

Hi there , i try to decompress files sometimes but the decompression stops short and asks me where i want to place the file but for the life of me i don`t seem to find a suitable file for it .
I have a Mac running Lion and i know that stuffit was updated to support Lion .
It happens sometime that it completely uncompresses and i have to look for it .

Can someone tell me how to always know how to use Stuffit Expander .

Thanks , Twinquartz
