Live Mesh does not seem to work with Mountain Lion, at least as of 7/30/2012. It just tries to process or talk to the server, but it never does.
Some problems in 10.8
Works fine in 10.7
I'm putting the finishing touches on the all-new RoaringApps, with support for Mavericks & iOS 7.
Try it out now and help me squash some bugs.

Windows Live Mesh for Mac brings Live Mesh and the previous version of Windows Live Sync together into one product. With Windows Live Mesh for Mac, you can keep the folders you choose in sync across your computers (Mac and PC) so the files you need are always right there with you.

After uninstalling and completely removing Live Mesh and then re-installing, it seems to be working, but it occasionally stops after switching networks.

Hello, I'd like to ask to the person that reported "works fine" what they did to make Windows Live Mesh work.
Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion GM Seed (using external USB drive, but not clean install) broke my Windows Live Mesh on my machine. When launching, the application displays a "Cannot connect" message at startup then closes.

I get the same error as Maggix and have updated the Compatibility as such.

Windows Live Mesh doesn't work on Lion builds currently. Microsoft is aware of the problem and is promising an update to add compatibility with 10.7 in the future.

Microsoft has just posted an updated version of Live Mesh that supports Lion:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=fb03f8ca-d0ea-45af-a25c-e48cc2dcce2c
I haven't tested it yet but will be putting it through its paces later today.

Downloaded and installed the updated on my MacBook Pro with Lion, and all seems to be functioning correctly now.

I can also confirm that the new version is working in Lion.

I'm still having a problem with Mesh in Lion. It runs as if it is syncing but it never actually syncs the files. Just continuously runs without making any progress on any of the folders it is supposedly syncing. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling Mesh without success. Any other suggestions? Thanks

I downloaded the update and still have the unable to connect problem.
Is it really an update of 15.4.5726.23?
Why is the release number not incremented then?
Iäve tried uninstall, remove files in ~/Library/Application Support/WLMesh folder, empty trash, restart and dowload and install the update
BUT still same problem

Also having problems with Live Mesh.
No luck running a stable Live Mesh on iMac24 early 2008 3.06 2G Lion. It freezes, and does not sync. Yes works perfectly on my MBA running Lepoard.

Same problem as SK - I've deleted the folders which store config data such as LiveID and WLMesh and reinstalled the app but no luck - OS X Lion. Previously, this was the only solution I needed - Now I'm looking for alternatives since I need to sync files between my PC and my Mac.

Same problem as reported by SK - Lion update from Snow Leopard. Mesh wanted to autoupdate when I first launched it, but crashed. After this nothing I do seems to work. It shows that the folders are synced, but they are not. The Mac does not show as running in the website devices.

My problem was fixed by some these steps
from:
http://windowslivehelp.com/thread.aspx?threadid=6c76c752-5944-40f9-97e2-99f6bf82ae36#929d71b4-d2ac-4039-92b6-29fad32e88a8
1. Shut down Windows Live Mesh (i.e. both in the dock and the menu bar)
2. Delete the “~/Library/Application Support/Live Id” folder
3. Delete the "~/Library/Application Support/WLMesh" folder
4. Open the Keychain app (click the magnifying glass in the upper right of the screen to launch Spotlight, and search for “Keychain Access”)
5. Delete the following from the Keychain Access app:
- Any certificates that have a name like “0018………….%00”
- Any that begin with "Live Id Private Key"
- Any that begin with "Live Id Public Key"
- Any named "Token Signing Public Key"
and then start Live Mesh

Lars-Erik…Thank you, your steps worked for me. I created another icon for the mac, but I just deleted the old one on Mesh.
Thank you very much.

Test solution in addition to Lars-Erik:
In Trousseau must approve the certificate.
- Any That begin with "Live Id Private Key"
- Any That begin with "Public Key Id Live"
For now, it works with me.
