No problems running version 4.1.3 under OSX 10.8 (ML). This is a recent release from VMWare with specific ML fixes…

http://www.vmware.com/support/fusion4/doc/releasenotes_fusion_413.html

VMWare themselves claim support for 10.8 on their blog: http://blogs.vmware.com/teamfusion/2012/07/vmware-fusion-and-os-x-mountain-lion-faq.html

The forums around the Technology Preview suggest that 4.1.3 and the Technology preview are having flicker issues with Macs that have a built-in primary display (iMac, MBP) with going full-screen on their second display. http://communities.vmware.com/message/2077193

From the VMWare Twitter account:

"We'll endeavor to be ready when Mountain Lion ships."

https://twitter.com/#!/VMware/status/170628991449956352

They're basically saying nothing at this point.

http://communities.vmware.com/message/2077193 reports that 4.1.3 MAY have flickering issues with devices that have second monitors from their primary monitor which is a computer (iMac, Macbook Pro, etc).

I have the same issue.

Sorry, I've added another entry for Fusion (didn't see that there are multiple pages).

For me, Fusion works just fine, Parallels doesn't.

I think there might be a difference between upgrading from Snow Leopard (some things worked there - iStat Menus - , some didn't - Java install without developer accoount). After a clean install, Java started to work, iStat Menus doesn't work anymore.

So, this list needs another checbox stating "Clean Lion install/Snow Leopard upgrade", because it seems that this means "app works" or "app does not work".

Clean Lion install, Fusion works fine for me.

It does take a while (~1 minute) of 'Resuming…' after a cold boot, before the virtual machine actually resumes.
During this time, Fusion appears to be not responding.
Once this initial 'freeze' is finished, Fusion loads (very quickly) on MacBook Air 13", Late 2010

Fusion seems to work ok but from time to time it lags (especially resume and startup). My install was upgraded from SL on macbook unibody

I'll join the parade of us with problems. Can't get mine to boot any OS. It worked temporarily by creating a brand new virtual machine, but shortly afterwards it refused to boot it.

VMware Fusion Version 3.1.3 (416484) seems to be mostly working fine for me with an XP VM.
Major exception is USB support. I have a USB attached Gigabit Ethernet controller that normally provides the network connectivity for the XP VM, but under Lion it seems that VMWare Fusion is unable to access it, claims that the host os drivers have it tied up. I've verified that I do not have that adapter setup in the OS X network settings.

My existing Windows 7 x64 VM seems to run fine on Fusion 3.1.0. Trying to run the 3.1.3 update, however, caused my system to hard crash. (First one I've seen in almost two years!)

Works great for me, just installed it. I'm currently already at 3.1.3 - tested Ubuntu 11.04 Server x64, Windows 7 x64, XP Pro.

I already have Fusion 3 running on SL with a Windows 7 Ultimate guest machine. Will I have to reinstall Fusion & the virtual machine all over again if I upgrade to Lion?

I'd be interested in VMWare Fusion 2.0 as well. Have a Win7 VM machine installed…any issues with that on Lion???

Fusion 3.1.3 runs fine on Lion but is not officially supported. Fusion 2.x will not run on Lion.

Any tried Fusion version e.x.p (437882) with the Lion GM?

Running Windows XP on an upgraded Lion install. I had to delete the virtual machine in VMWare Fusion and reset it up, which didn't take long. Shared folders work fine.

i can't seem to get Fusion 3.1.3 working. I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted, no joy. Then found an article on adding kexts in that may not have installed correctly. Still no joy. I would love to hear what other folks have tried that worked.

Aside from having to re-activate Windows 7/32 bit - all seems just fine.
Also tried Windows 2003 Server R2 - worked fine as well

Was on 10.6.8 with VMware Fusion 3.1.3. Did this early 2011 15" MBP upgrade via App store and it is fine.

Didn't update other macs to Lion yet..

I'm having a problem with latest Fusion on Lion and VM's with bridged network. Haven't yet fully troubleshooted but it seems that after some time the XP VM can no longer access the LAN. Ping to and from the host (Lion) works fine. Anyone here seen something simular?

I am running VMware Fusion 3.1.3 on a clean install of Lion and have not had any issues so far. Am running Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2 VMs ok (all created prior to Lion). Note, I have a multi-monitor setup and run VMs fullscreen and always 'shut down' VMs (rather than suspending them) so my usage may not be typical.
