This entry was created initially for v3.5.6 where someone reported the app is working. The current version is 4.2.2 and the current App Store version is 4.1.7, both major changes from the previously reported v.3.5.6.

I am resetting the status to unknown until a v4 MacPilot is tested under Lion.

I contacted Koingo some months ago regarding a licence, which i don't have as i purchased the app through the app store. They said i didn't need one, and yet when i tried to do a manual upgrade (the app store does not offer the updated 4.2.2 as stated above) it asks me for a licence. The functionality under Lion seems to be fine so far, but it would be nice to have an official release here.

The current App Store version is 4.1.7 (which IS Lion compatible), however, the developer notes that "Apple will not be approving the latest version of MacPilot for the App Store as MacPilot requires access to advanced and hidden features in Mac OS X. Please contact us directly with proof of purchase and we'll issue you a free copy directly from us." The most recent version is 4.2.2, which can be downloaded from the developer, and is not yet Lion compatible.

Just tried v4.2.2 with Lion. I did have to start it up several times (it quit on launch about 5 times), but I did finally get it to work with Lion! Seems to work fine now.
