Not entirely sure what original poser was on about, (perhaps its a certain model) but works fine on a Mid-2011/2009 iMac

Beach Ball upon startup; long process; then it eventually crashes with an error message that it had to quit unexpectedly; offers to send a report. This happens consistently; 5 times so far, since installing Mountain Lion. It worked with some bugs in Lion but I did not run it through its paces; one reason I upgraded was to fix the problems; it did, doesn't work at all now!

I REALLY need APE 9 to work right now; I am editing about 200 gigs of video from a documentary I shot in late May. I have Final Cut Express too but it will not open/run/recognize .MTS files that my Canon Vixia shoots.

Having problem when dragging video to time line, whole line goes dark and unable to see where video end. Some times only few extra lines appear, and video under is visible. Other than that everything else working fine.
