Doesn't play nice with Notification Center - the toolbar doesn't move out of the way with the rest of the app.

Open/Save/Export dialog boxes don't retain their configuration and size etc. and often the sidebars are rendered incorrectly.

In 10.8, when I have Window > Application Bar turned on in InDesign CS5, then everything moves out of the way for Notification Center.

I was having problems with slow startup and quit times until I discovered (while working on another issue) that I had two sets of preferences for InDesign – one in ~/Library/Preferences and one in Library/Preferences (the Library at the first level of the hard drive). After cross-checking the modification dates and deleting the oldest version for each of my CS5 apps (com.adobe.InDesign.plist, com.adobe.Illustrator.plist, and so on), I find that everything is very much zippier.

Not sure why or how this came about, but very pleased to find a solution!

@stickman67 There is a hierarchy of preferences on Macs; first it will check your user's library (~/Library/Preferences), then the root (/Library/Preferences), as well as Network and System preferences. Usually it should ignore the higher level prefs if there is something present in the User library, but they can conflict sometimes.
