"The more time I spend with Evernote, the more I realize it isn’t really a “note-taking” app. Meet Scrawl." - AppStorm, 8/10.
"Scrawl is one such program [with iCloud support], and this note-taking tool is both simple and useful." - Macworld, 7/10.
Scrawl is the world's simplest note taking app ever, designed for any note taker or writer. It is always sitting in the menu bar for easy access whenever you need it, and it syncs your notes across all of your Macs with iCloud.
Note Taking That Makes Sense
These days note taking apps such as NotesTab, don't really get it. They assume that the user wants every feature and look to the app possible. But of course, when you get a note taking app, you want just that: a note taking app. Scrawl has been designed with you in mind, without all of the distracting interfaces and features.
iCloud Support
Scrawl has been designed for iCloud so that it will save and sync your notes across all of your Macs. For example: if you add a note to Scrawl on your MacBook, it is automatically synced and added to your iMac. No setup necessary.
Data Detectors
In Scrawl 2, creating a new event in your calendar is a breeze. Just type naturally in your own language! If you just typed, "Meeting with Bob at 2 PM tomorrow," just click on the arrow on the right to create a new event in your calendar! Plus, if you have an iCloud account, Apple will sync your new event with all of your devices!
Pixel Perfect UI
The interface is important for any app, and Scrawl takes it to the next level. Not only is it easy to access and use, but it also looks extremely slick, simple, and clean - something many note taking apps lack.
Amazingly Simple Text Viewer & Editor
Scrawl makes everything simple, including the text editor. To create a new note, simply click on the + button. Scrawl will then open the text editor. Just type, and Scrawl auto-saves the note. To view a full note, just double-click on it. You will be able to see the date it was last edited on by looking at the date in the bottom-left corner. Also, if you make any changes, the date will automatically change.
Other Features:
- Scrawl autosaves notes.
- Search the each note's content, as well as the title.
- Scrawl is in the menubar for easy access.
- Includes a beautiful interface based off of QuickLook.
- Right-click on the menubar icon to view all of the app's settings.
- Change the size of the window easily in the Preferences.
- And much more!
