Try this Ammyy Admin www.ammyy.com
The software doesn't require installation and registration. You can connect to any PC which is behind NAT.

You cannot quit the menubar (you couldn't quit it either on Snow Leopard), becuase it is implemented in /Library/LaunchAgents (it's also in LaunchDaemon, but that is not important here). Just delete the plist-file in there of hamachi, and you are able to quit the menubar icon after a reboot! (Beter said, it won't show up.) I don't need the menubar icon. Just launch Hamachi main application, and everything works fine!
Note: Force-quit won't work, because launch-agents is a way, that even if you quit the process, it is automatically reinstated by OS X.
