For years, this program, uCalendarX, has worked very well for me, substituting for iCal and similar apps

Previous comment of mine was uploaded and locked by mistake. To repeat: uCalendarX worked well as a substitute for iCal and apps similar to iCal, because uCalendarX does not keep track of hours like iCal and its coterie, and I don't need to manage my schedule in terms of hours.
But on February 5th, 2012, after I downloaded an update to the software on my Mac mini, which included a change to the firmware, uCalendarX stopped working. Frustrating! Would welcome advice on how to get the problem fixed. The program is no longer under development, it appears.
