XQuartz 2.7.2 (xorg-server 1.12.2)
Doesn't work in 10.8
Works fine in 10.7
I'm putting the finishing touches on the all-new RoaringApps, with support for Mavericks & iOS 7.
Try it out now and help me squash some bugs.

Yeah, XQuartz appears to work fine. It's not included with Mountain Lion, but Apple helpfully points you in the right direction if you run X11 (a placeholder app).
