Corel Painter Essentials 4 works fine with Mountain Lion, however the version must be The patch to update is found somewhere on the Corel site (The URL of the updater's page is often changed, so try yourself looking for it in the Corel US site….)

If you have this message "this copy of painter has been damaged or illegally modified", try to delete the "nTitles Product Licenses IV" (in Library/Preferences).

Then you have to reenter your License Key.
