iMovie HD (v6) was the last (good) iMovie before Apple changed it to a sort of movie manager + crude clipper.

Yes, I am very disappointed as well. I am not going to upgrade any more OS's with Apple for two specific programs. iMovie6 HD and AppleWorks. I have 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) on both Mac's and will stay right here. None of the iLife programs suit me since v7 and up. iDVD7+ and iMovie7+ are something to laugh about.
It seems the new little programmers had to change something just for the sake of change.

Really glad to see this still works. It's so sad to see what Apple is doing to their video editing tools. I really don't know what they are thinking moving away from the tried and trusted timeline in favor of their Zone Of Mystery approach.

In the old days I worked for TV and saw offline editing make its entry. I was enchanted iMovie HD worked in the same logic. Another proof of the superiority of . I could not believe my eyes when I saw the next iMovies. And apparently they are doing the same to Final Cut now.
