my guitar pro freezes when the application starts up

It's works fine on my MBP mid2010 (4Go RAM, Intel Core2duo 2,4ghz). With RSE engine there aren't any problems. Moreover there is a full screen mode which works fine but not integrated in the mission control mode (still on the same space)…
PS : it seems obvious but I have a legal version ;)

Maybe tomtomdeloche has a point. The legal version works fine on my MacBook Pro too but I heard of cracked copies acting like Bullaballoo descibes. By which I don't want to suggest that he has a cracked copy.
