Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine.

Requires a manual download of Java on the first launch. However this is automated and merely requires you to click "Download" after which it will download Java and then launch Minecraft for you.

Gatekeeper also must be set to allow apps downloaded from anywhere.

So, for those of you still having issues, first open your Sys. Preferences, click "Security & Privacy"

Highlight the "general" tab (selected by default)

and at the bottom:
Allow applications downloaded from:
-select Anywhere

After, launch Minecraft once, and change you setting back for the higher security.

If anyone can help me find the contents of custom mods - it seems there no longer is a folder in "Application Support" related to Minecraft.
Does anyone know if the folder has been relocated, removed, or am I just blind?

sorry for the repost, I just want to elaborate:

To find the Library in Lion/Mountain Lion, click on the "Go" drop down menu on the top of your screen and hold down the "option" key.

how do i download

If the only requirement is that Java be downloaded beforehand, and as this is a Java application, then I'd say this application is fine and I'll remove the "some problems" status.
