iSeek is a handy little program for Mac OS X that allows you to instantly search for anything you seek, no matter what program you are running. iSeek puts a familiar search field in your menu bar, needing just a click or keystroke to start your search.

It's disappointing that iSeek doesn't work with Lion, but it looks like Butler (from Many Tricks) and LaunchBar (from Object Development) are 2 good alternatives that provide similar functionality for searching websites from the menu bar. It's a little more difficult to configure Butler and it's a TON more difficult to configure LaunchBar (because they are much more robust tools), but at least those are 2 potential solutions.

While this program is usable under MacOS X Lion, it doesn't operate as well as it should. If you use a hotkey to trigger it, you need to press the hotkey twice before your keyboard input is focused correctly into the menu bar input field. All other functionality works fine.

This is an incredibly useful program and hope Ambrosia Software will either fix this minor problem or release the source so that others can fix it for them!

Agreed with Raj, above. Once I updated to Lion, two consecutive triggers are needed to get to the input field. A great program I used constantly. Ambrosia says there are no plans to update it, which is really frustrating.
