If you encounter problems using ASM 2.3 on ML (10.8) you might deinstall and reinstall it via the ASM-Installer. After that it works fine.

I installed ASM (version 2.3) on my new MacBook Pro running OS X Lion, but it doesn't work. Oddly enough when I upgraded my iMac (which already had ASM 2.3 installed) from Snow Leopard to Lion, everything worked fine.

If you clean install or migrate your system it might be a good advice do deinstall and after that reinstall ASM. After that it works fine. Just updating the system encountered NO prolbems
