There seems to be a processor usage over-run with finds on unstored calculation fields that are performed by the server on behalf of the client.
Once the find is completed the server daemon will not release the cpu usage immediately - it'll release about 1% of processor cycles per second or two. Run 'top -a' in terminal and watch the 'fmserverd' process during the find and watch it take forever to recover fully afterwards.
