I just purchased and downloaded 2.0.11 through iTunes. I've only made a business card so far, but that worked fine, including importing a photograph.

The Print Shop 2.x will run fine on Mac OS X 7 Lion, but you must have already installed it before upgrading to Lion. If you have the CD/DVD version you will find that the installer is a PowerPC application which cannot be run on Lion or Mountain Lion.
If you have the app backed up via Time Machine or other mechanism you can likely restore it, update to latest version, and you will be fine. Otherwise, install on a Mac running Mac OS X 10.6 then copy the app over.
