On 10.8 Libreoffice does not run until Gatekeeper will be disabled. Disabling Gatekeeper adds a security leak so I set it to "Doesn't work in 10.8"

Sorry, but gatekeeper is no reason to mark this application as non-working. After downloaded, simply do a right click and choose open for the first launch. This is possible without changing the global gatekeeper settings.

LibreOffice seems to work fine, but because I have done only some small tests, I resetted the status to unknown.

LibreOffice 3.6 crashes instantly when launched. 3.4 works as expected. Maybe it's an update problem.

Sorry to contradict you. LibreOffice 3 works fine - for estimated 8 seconds. Then it crashes and tells me it needs a java environment and would love to download it but can't find an internet connection (my connection is up and running, otherwise I couldn't post here). Running snow leopard I didn't experience such a bug. I'll try to fix this somehow. If I find a way, I'll post it.

Best regards

Okay, excuse me for posting before asking Google. You might need to update your java environment. The download location is here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1421. Now it looks as if anything's running just like expected.

Sorry for having been so stupid and thinking a system update on a mac would really update anything needed to keep the whole system running. *looking at my old Ubuntu box*

Best regards
